The Whittlesea Pacers community proudly celebrated three outstanding officials at the 2025 Referee Awards, recognising excellence, growth, and dedication to the game.
The prestigious Stan Kirkham Senior Referee of the Year was awarded to George El Azar, honouring his leadership, consistency, and commitment at the senior level throughout the season.
The Greg Russell Rookie Referee of the Year was presented to Kendra Reukers, acknowledging an impressive debut year marked by strong development, confidence, and professionalism on court.
Rounding out the awards, the Most Improved Referee of the Year went to Zac McGrotty, recognising significant progress, dedication to learning, and continued growth across the season.
These awards highlight the strength of the Pacers referee pathway and the vital role officials play in supporting the game at every level. The association congratulates all three recipients and thanks the wider referee group for their ongoing passion and contribution to basketball in the Whittlesea community.
