Aussie Hoops is our fun and welcoming introduction to basketball for young beginners at the Whittlesea Pacers. Designed around Basketball Australia’s official Aussie Hoops program, sessions focus on learning fundamental skills like dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork through engaging games and activities.
Our program prioritises confidence, coordination, and enjoyment in a positive, inclusive environment. With modified equipment and age-appropriate coaching, every child is supported at their own pace. Experienced Pacers coaches ensure sessions are safe, structured, and full of encouragement.

Important Update to Aussie Hoops Packs
From 20th October, as Basketball Australia move away from Mber+, Delivery Centres that offer the mainstream starter pack process, will now have a seamless Ford Aussie Hoops participant pack option directly through PlayHQ at the time of registration.
WHAT THIS MEANS TO STATES/TERRITORIES AND ASSOCIATIONS
Simplified Process: Participants will now purchase their Ford Aussie Hoops pack directly during registration in PlayHQ or Basketball Connect — no longer through Mber+.
Automatic Transition: Basketball Australia will activate the new process automatically based on the outlined transition dates; no action is needed from associations or states/territories.
Reduced Administration: The new system streamlines ordering and fulfilment, reducing admin for delivery centres, associations, and Basketball Australia.
Late Purchases: Participants who miss buying a pack during registration can still purchase one from the Aussie Hoops online store.
Transition Period: Mber+ will remain active until end of November 2025 to support existing orders and ensure a smooth transition. Basketball Australia will assist with any remaining or unredeemed packs after this time.
