PACERS U20 VJBL INFORMATION
In Season 2024/2025, The Victorian Junior Basketball league (VJBL), in conjunction with Basketball Victoria (BV), saw a need for the U20s format to be changed and adapted to a more revitalised format in an effort to help grow the U20s age-group into the future.
In a first, any VJBL association could nominate their team for the 7 round Victorian Championship competition, no grading, no trials; simply nominate your team to compete and you’re in. It will see 32 Men’s teams and 15 Women’s teams compete for the ‘Victorian Champions’ title.
The significant changes to U20 basketball in the VJBL was made following feedback from associations, coaches and players alike. After undertaking a series of meetings, Basketball Victoria launched the new look U20 format with significant growth in team entries for its inaugural year.
